Essie's Story
Life
I've been married since July 1998 to Dave and we had our daughter just over a year after we married. Our son was born in 2002. We live in a modest home in the Ojai Valley. Our family enjoys time together hanging out, playing baseball and road trips. We have a Boxer, named Archie who thinks he is our eldest child. My best friend of more than 23 years (yikes!) is still Cindy (Hopcus) Boehm.

ent back to work part time and worked both in bookkeeping and as a Wedding Planner. It's fun and, best of all, flexible. I can always put my family first without the reprocusions many working moms face in their corporate jobs. I truly could not have asked for more!
Then...in Sept. 2007, my husband and I bought Ojai Auto Parts from Rudy and now our brother in law manages for us. I do all the bookkeeping and Dave works there part time as well. It certainly was a bit of culture shock to try running a retail business as the national economy takes a dip, but it is a challenge we are really enjoying.
