Estelle Zimlich:  

Estelle Herzog Logsdon Zimlich Bert (Albert L. Zimlich, Jr.; Speed School) and I will be married fifty years next June 6. We have four children: Jimmy--Florida, Cathy, Bruce, Beth--Atlanta. We also have nine grandchildren ranging in age from twenty-two to eight: Jimmy and Jamie Zimlich; Elizabeth, Jim and Stuart Pulliam; Megan and Zach Zimlich; Emily and Michelle Crim. I was married to Jim Logsdon in 1956--U of L AFROTC. Jim was killed in a mid-air collision on his twenty-third birthday in Marianna, Florida--a pilot training base. I was pregnant with Jimmy, who was born the following March. I taught advanced classes, English and History, at Waggener High School until Bert and I were married. It was a joy. We have lived in Louisville since our marriage. We lived on Valetta Road until we built our house 41 years ago on Orion Road. At the present we are completely redecorating THE ENTIRE HOUSE and doing some remodeling. My daughter, Cathy, is my wonderful decorator. It should take about one year--if we live through it!
