College
I went to San Jose State but decided it wasn't for me and got a job and then in 1979 joined the Navy Nuclear Submarine program. I got my Associates Degree in Nuclear Technology from Regents college in New York. I went to Hawaii Pacific University for Business Administration and Computer Information Systems but wasn't able to finish due to military commitments.
I retired from the US Navy in April 1999 in Everett, WA. and then worked as an Union Electrician for 10 months until laid-off and then got a job with the State of Washington as a Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist (DVOP), moved to Austin, TX in Sept 2004 and worked for US Dept. of Labor VETS for a short while until I got a job with the State of Texas as a DVOP with the Texas Veterans Commission and was just promoted 19 Oct 09, to the Lead position for the Capital area as a Local Veterans Employment Representative. lt job I ever held. After having to resign due to health, I landed a job with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts as an Account Examiner. I worked in the sales tax location verification group. After putting in 13.5 years with the State of Texas, I retired in January 2020. I now have a part time job as a Pick-up and Transport Driver for the Texas Lone Star Auto Auction, I couldn't sit at home and play on the computer or game console or read, been busy for over 46 years working. I enjoy cooking and doing Bar-B-Que in my smoker; ribs, brisket, chicken, and pork shoulder.
I also enjoy playing with my puppies, which are both rescued Dogs, Diamond is a female Pitbull and very loving and protective of my wife Virginia and Gator a male Chihuahua/Yorkshire Terrier mix. Gator is the equivalent of the Energizer Bunny always wanting play fetch.
I have 8 Grandchildren, 6 boys, 2 girls. I also have 5 Great Grandchildren, 2 boys, 3 girls. We raised two of our Granddaughters for 8 years, so we are now taking care of our 2 Fur Babies.
