Eugenia's Story
Life
I am divorced. Was married for 13 years to Bill Colter of Atlanta. Have three children, and four grandchildren. I now live in Southwest Florida. I am an artist and designer. I hand paint murals on Sanibel and Captiva Island in businesses, beach homes and condos. I also decorate beach homes and condos. After receiving my degree in Hospitality Management, I was the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager of several large convention hotels in Southwest Florida. My brother, Larry Thompson, is the owner of five very successful restaurants on Sanibel, Captiva, and Bokelia Islands. 3 seafood restaurants called Lazy Flamingo, 1 gourmet restaurant called Sunset Grill, and 1 called Crazy Gators. I managed and was Chef at Crazy Gators on Sanibel Island for a number of years. I was also Chef for his food speciality store on Sanibel called the Santiva General Store. My son, Michael, is a graduate of the Culinery Institute of America (known as the CIA) in Hyde Park, New York. He has won many Gold Metals. He and I enjoy gourmet cooking together. So now, I just relax and enjoy life at the beach and enjoy painting art and cooking. I sell my paintings and as I stated previously, I hand paint tropical murals.
