Marie's Story
Life
At 43 my life is still in the fast lane. My daughter is 18 and my son is 22 (the 2 best accomplishments of my life). Ryan my son, is attending LSU. After living in Louisiana for 16 years,I never thought that I would live anywhere else, but here I am in Texas. Courtney moved with us and started 11th grade but the girls were horrible to her and she just could not adjust, so she moved back to Louisiana and is living with my mother and finishing high school in May. June first Courtney will move into her first apartment. Her father and I are a little nervous since she is the baby, but life goes on if we want it to or not. So I burn up the roads between Houston and Baton Rouge and am fixing up her new apartment and Ryans' new apartment also which he is moving into with 3 other friends..."the man pad" and Courtneys' is "the princess pad". I am still married to the same man (of 24 years and counting). I am a homemaker and am just trying to enjoy life and what it dishes out.

On a sadder note. my younger brother Wayne Doyel passed away October 20, 2005. He was in the elite special forces..did special warfare and worked with the seals. He had his first surjury (at 41) on Monday and died Thursday morning of a blood clot. Wayne had just finished working tirelessly with the first responders in New Orleans (202 man hours with no problems) in the after affects of Katrina. At his memorial he was given a special medal of honor especially since his home was lost in Slidell just north of New Orleans. He is survived by his wife from Panama and an 85 pound Lab--Rex. The Navy have been fantastic through this horrible time. He had a military funeral with a 21 gun salute with over 100 military in attendence. He is buried at Pride Port Hudson Military cemetary just outside of Zachary Louisiana.
Some days it is just too hard to go on...especially for my parents now that i am the only one left.....your thoughts and prayers will be greatly appreciated.
