Evan's Story
It is fast approaching 2009 and Charlie Bishop and I thought it would be nice to try and get a reunion organized. I took my first step today by paying for a membership in classmates.com. We are looking for ideas from everyone on the date, time and place. The summer of '09 is prefered. I would like to do a book with pictures and stories about everyone. So start writing up an autobiography and find a photo suitable for printing, send them to me at: Evan Zillmer

A little on me: I joined The United States Marine Corps right after High School. I was stationed or traveled with the Marines in/to North Carolina, Tennessee, California, Chicago Illinois, Okinawa Japan, Thailand, Korea, England, Spain, Portugal and flew over Viet Nam and Cambodia. I was a Flight Mechanic, Jet Engine Mechanic, Dynamic Component Mechanic, Propeller Mechanic, and Recruiter. I was married twice and have three children - Russell, Lisa and Nicole. I now have seven grandchildren - Abigail, Ethan, Nathan, Delylah, Bristol, Emma and Kaylee. ...Expand for more
I retired from the Marines in 1992 and went to work for the Navy as a civilian aircraft engine mechanic. I started at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D.C. and after nine years and a base realighnment and closure (BRAC) I ended up down here in Jacksonville, Florida. I currently overhaul and repair the jet engines used in the Blue Angels type aircraft. I am a season ticket holder of the Jacksonville Jaguars, I love to sail and just recently (almost) bought my own sailboat, I will someday. I still like to party, though now days it is more social than hard core, a lot of family gatherings and social events. My girlfriend, Robin, is a court reporter and we have been together for about seven years. I can't believe how lucky I am to have found her at this stage of my life. I am still a motorcycle enthusiast and have worked my way up to a Harley Sportster (which by the way I rode on Christmas day). I was home in January and even did some snowmobiling. Better stop for now but remember to get me all of the classmates addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses you can muster up so I can start making contacts.
Thanks
Evan
