Evangeline's Story
Evangeline is from Atlanta, Georgia. She is married with Rick Light. Her schools include Decatur High School. She graduated from Graham Bible College, Bristol, TN and attended ASBS working toward a Masters she did not finish. She works(ed) at BurWil Construction Company as their Safety Director, Vance Middle School with Resource program, Eastern Heights PCA, and Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship.
Evangeline's interests include time with her family, gardening, photography and lately reading again. Music she likes includes Darin & Brooke Aldridge, Country music, Kenny G. Books she likes include the Bible and revisiting some classics like, "There's A Snake In My Garden, Christy, and Through Gates of Splendor. Movies she likes include The Blind Side and It's A Wonderful Life (black and white, uncut on Christmas Eve...no matter what). TV shows she likes include not being committeed to any show anymore having too much fun playing with my granddaughter.
Evangeline and Rick have three adult children; Joshua who is finishing up at Birmingham Theological Seminary, as for the twins, Victoria got married in 2009 to Justin and they have given us our only grand child, Kylie Renee...love hearing her call out..."MiMi". Nathan got married in 2011 to Beth who teaches 5th grade at Ketron Elementary School and Nathan is an embalmer and licensed Funeral Director. We are grateful that our children are healthy and seeking to establish Christian homes. They are a blessing.

More about Evangeline:"I am a sinner saved by His marvelous grace, a child of the King. I was born in Atlanta, GA. I was raised in a home where my parents instilled in us that our relationship with Christ should be a part of everything we are about. I became a Christian around six years of age. My youngest brother had just passed away and I wanted to know that I belonged to Christ. I dedicated my life to full time service when I was 13. I attended Graham Bible College in Bristol, TN; met my future husband there and in October 1981 I was thrilled to marry Rick Light. He is my hero, my counselor and the one I love most next to Christ Himself. Rick and I had Joshua in 1983; Victoria and Nathan were born in 1987. We have been at Eastern Heights PCA for the last 25 years and as my mom once told me, "no church body will ever love you more than EHPC"...she is so right!
