Evelyn's Story
I was born in NYC and our family moved to New Providence in 1961 when my dad was transferred to Murray Hill with the Bell System. I was in the first graduating class of Allen W. Roberts School and attended NPHS starting in the 9th grade. After graduating from NPHS I attended Brevard College in NC where I majored in music.
I have been living in NC since 1972. I worked for the Air Line Pilots Association for several years, and have since retired. l family, friends and a solid, Bible teaching church, for which I am so thankful. I love hearing from my former classmates at NPHS. I have so many memories from high school (most of them fond) and I enjoy keeping up with my old and new friends. I think our class (69) was a really unique one, in that many of us have reconnected via FB and attend the reunions regularly. After all, these classmates are the only ones I shared that little section of my life with from 1965-1969. We went through lots of changes over the years since graduation, but we can look back and smile at those few years we had together.
