Life
Remember the girl who played bass fiddle in the orchestra & kept her nose in a book? That's me! I'm the Regional Training Officer for the US Dept of Labor. I'm a career Federal employee and haved worked for the Customs Service and the Army Corps of Engineers. I have B.A. and M.A. degrees in Human Resource Development from Northeastern Illinois University. In addition to managing the Training Department, I design training materials and teach supervisory and developmental courses for Labor Department employees. I'm also coordinator for the Mentoring Program. Our "adopted school" is the new Chicago Job Corps Training Center...Expand for more
at 33rd & Kedzie Avenues in Chicago. The Center students, age 16-22, are a diverse group, and many are from the Lawndale area.
My daughter Theresa is a Certified Surgical Technician, and my son Tyrone is an Administrative Assistant for a public utility company in Minneapolis. I'm vice-president of an international Star Trek fan club that does a great deal of volunteer & community service work. I live in the Chicagoland area and have a variety of interests including computers, listening to music, chess, shortwave radio, travel, classic movies and of course, reading.
I wish the very best to all Farragut Admirals everywhere!
