Evelyn's Story
After graduating, I went to Wayne State and got a teaching degree. I taught in Allen Park for 32 years(wow couldn't possibly be that long). At the time I retired, which was in 2003, I was teaching 2nd grade. I've been divorced for a few years. I have one son and my grandkids are Jordan, 20 years old, and Arianna, 13 years old. Since retiring, I'm doing a lot of things I didn't have time for while working. I'm busy line dancing 2-3 nights a week. I'm also into ballroom and latin dancing...Expand for more
. Sometimes I go roller skating in Woodhaven. My dogs keep me pretty busy also. I try to walk them everyday if it's not too cold or windy. When I'm home, I like to read or watch TV. I also enjoy playing my piano and keyboard. I'm trying to teach myself to play the guitar but not getting too far with it. Playing "Love Me Tender" is my big accomplishment so far on the guitar.
I love to swim and hanging out by my pool in the summer time is relaxing.
