Evelyn's Story
Life
I graduated from University of Illinois in Urbana, Il. I moved to SIU then and attended grad school in Design. I lived with Craig Burberry. I moved to Chicago after one year. He stayed in Carbondale. He was home from Vietnam and was finishing his degree. I became an art teacher in a suburb of Chicago. My school consolidated and I was hired by Merrill Lynch to be a stockbroker. They sent me to New York to train. I did that in Chicago until 1985, I dated a lawyer who was quite a bit older for many years, but we never married. He died of lung cancer in 1990. dopted my daughter, Alex(andra) from Paraguay when she was 6 months old. I went to Asuncion twice. I worked at Citibank for five years. Now I am a VP at North Fork Bank. I run the Fifth Ave office. I've traveled a good deal: Thailand, Malaysia, London, France, Italy, Switzerland, Scuba diving in Belize and Mexico. It has been a pretty good life. I see my family quite a bit. I vacation with them and see them at Christmas and at other times.
College
I went to University of Illinois in Urbana and graduated in Art Ed. I went to SIU in DEsign and was a teaching Assistant. I lacked 8 hoiurs to complete my Masters. I went toNYU in finance and International Businessm a double major, and graduated with an MS.
