FRANCIS's schools include Fern Elementary School 1956 - 1963, S.B. Dole Intermediate School 1963 - 1966, Farrington High School 1966 - 1969, Honolulu Community College 1969 - 1971. Graduated from HCC in June 1971. Enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from July 1971 to July 1975. Basic training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, tech school at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS, assigned to Misawa AFB, Misawa, Japan did TDY to Okinawa, Guam and Taiwan. Honorable discharge in July 1975. eturned home to Hawaii. Did apprenticeship as a Cabinet Maker for Local 745 Carpenters Union. Received journeymen status in 1982. Worked at several cabinet shops from 1975 - 1995. Worked for a local hardware supply from 1995 -2004. Worked as a Carpenters Helper for PWC/NAVFAC on Pearl Harbor, HI in 2004. I worked my up to an Engineering Tech for NAVFAC HI on Pearl Harbor and retired on August 30, 2013. My wife and I moved to Wausau, Wisconsin soon after my retiring from NAVFAC/HI.
