Faheemah's Story
Life
I am currently working as an activist for a national/international organization. I supervise our area office here in St. Louis. Our work involves social justice issues, (i.e. human rights issues and peace & justice work). This work is very rewarding because it allows me to give back to my people and other oppressed communities of color. One of the benefits of being a paid activist is that you receive a salary for working on issues that you have a passion for. However, there are times this work can be mentally and phsycially draining. This is why I take vacations and personal time.

r 2003. So yes, I'm about to become a grandma. Am I depressed? No way! The idea of giving love to a child that is the off-spring of your off-spring and passing on my life experiences is a beautiful thing. I am so looking forward to it.
On my quest for truth, knowledge, and cultural awareness I am very much into African Liberation. My dream vacation is to travel to the continent of Africa. If my personal finances won't allow me to visit anytime soon, then perhaps my job will lead me there. My choice of countries to visit on the continent has not been determined yet. Possibly, West African would be my first choice or South Africa as my second.
