Farhana's Story
After high school, I came to St. Louis, Missouri...basically ran away from home with the first people who were going somewhere other than the North/South Carolina border. I was ready to come home within two days, but then met Gary and ended up staying here and with him for almost ten years.
I went to school for travel, worked at a hotel for about two years then decided to try my hand at banking. I was in the credit union industry for 12 1/2 years...working my way up from teller to Executive Manager of Operations. During that time, I got married.
In 2003, I decided to change careers again...got into real estate. My husband was a Commercial Loan Officer and it seemed to make sense. Soon after, I left him and was an...Expand for more
agent for three years.
I moved back to SC in 2006. Got a chance to hang out with my family as I had not done alot of that in my youth. Could not find a soul I recognized and moved back to St. Louis in 2007.
I am currently managing a new franchise in Missouri called Samurai Sam's. Yep, another career change. I have been doing this for about six months and am really starting to enjoy it. I am incorporating all my prior business knowledge and can get as creative as I want. I manage young people and it is quite rewarding. Originally, I took this position until the real estate market got better. But, now I see vision of making as much money without working so hard.
There is much more...but that is all I am telling!
