Farrel's Story
Life
Born in NYC 8/1/56. first 25 years mostly on 68thAv Flush,Queens. Studied to be in the media, so I am. Lived in Pa,Ga,Ct,NOW Fl. I served for a short time in the early 80's with NYPD. I would have retired now had I stayed, but NO LOOKIN Back. I have avoided marriage, I am alergic. So now at 48 I am enjoying life doing my daily radio-talk show in Palm Beach,"Dah-link"(this is how the locals talk)I was in some very cool places in my life, the most extraordinary had to be when I made it to National Television during the election mess of 2000. You may have seen me holding a "SORE-LOSERMAN" sign at Palm Beach ELection HQ. I have met some interesting people, Paul Harvey for sure,Marlo Thomas(she hated me, I chewed her up on my show). Sen .Connie Mack, and Don Brewer .Don is the drummer for Grand Funk Rail Road, they visited the show in 98. Pete Rose has been on a ...Expand for more
first name basis with me as well. Hell of a guy. And Last Summer, I met the guy who inspired my career,Bob Grant of WOR-NY. We became pals and we talk often. He'd like to see me get to the NY Radio market, but unfortunately he doesn't call the shots. I have learned all about so many things that have fascinated me from cooking to hypnosis. The computer age surely revolutionized my life. And above all , I eagerly look forward to the many things I have yet to learn. I will run for public office someday and I aspire to being able to have all the spare time I want. I have come to know, time isn't money because time is limited, money can be.
Tally Ho, in the words of one of my many admired mentors, the late great Mr. Martin Stone. He owned the station in Mt.Kisco ,NY where I molded my abilities in the middle eighties, he said "Onward-Upward" so onward upward we go.
