Life As I write this, our 45th class reunion (CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?? 45 YEARS) is just three weeks away. It's hard to know where to begin with a bio at the age of 63 but her goes. For the last reunion, my husband, Jim McSurdy, and I were living in northern Virginia, just off I-95 where we had moved in 1985. Jim was a steel worker and the future looked pretty bleak in 1983 when his plant shut down and unemployment was at 28%, so we relocated. We lived in Virginia until last October when we both were able to take 20-year retirements from our jobs. We moved to Donegal PA in the Laurel Highlands near Seven Springs -- a beautiful area and we enjoy living there very much. We are also just 1/2 hour from Latrobe and Steelers training camp!!!! My friends who retired to Florida and Myrtle Beach asked why in the world we would move north; we told them because it's "home", and it definitely is. We go to Pirate games at PNC Park and, the first night game we went to and saw that gorgeous city as the twilight turned to dark and all the city lights came on, the emotion was indescribable.
