Faye's Story
Graduated from NBHS in 1956; worked in NB for a couple of years, then on base at MCAS, Cherry Point, NC, until I met my husband-to-be. After he got out of the USMC, we moved to Greenville. Married 24 years; traded in on a "younger model with a "newer chassis." 'best thing that ever happened (big ole grin). I was employed by ECU for 23 years, made sure my 2 children had u/grad degrees from ECU then finished my own in 1995. have lived in Greenville NC since 1973 but want to move back to NB eventually when housing market in G'ville picks up. To expand on ancestral research, I have learned since 1997 that I have multitudes of distant cousins in eastern NC, thanks to my parents' ancestors being some of the very earliest (yes, even Indians!) settlers in this region.
