Laurie's Story

Bachelor of Education but found work since graduation in business in two very disparate fields - wholesale building materials and, in Portland, period-authentic home lighting and furnishings (retail). As of April 21st, 2011 laid off due to Rejuvenation's poor economic outlook (the retail store in Portland portion of the business). Must look for work in extremely difficult financial times. BEST decision I ever made: move to Portland, OR! Everyone should visit the Pacific Northwest at least once in their lives. I would not choose to live anywhere else even though all of my family is in Ohio,Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Florida. iod authentic furnishings, lighting, etc. I would love to take visitors on personalized tours of Portland and all the GREAT outdoors here....It would be nice to see familiar faces - well, no one would be too familiar, since I did not keep up with anyone after high school. I'm not very sentimental and did not keep any yearbooks. I would still enjoy renewing acquaintances with anyone visiting Portland! I would also exchange personal e-mail addresses anytime. Perhaps I have included too much personal information, but what the hell! I have always done what I want and gone wherever I've wanted, without having to consult anyone or get anyone's permission. I love Portland and this part of the country and am so lucky to enjoy every single day.
