Workplace I started my nursing career as a LPN and eventually went back to school and became a RN. As a RN I've worked in the critical care setting for 4 years. Recently I switched gears. ll love being a nurse but post-Katrina my career gears have shifted again. I'm no longer at the bedside or performing hands on patient care. I have transitioned to the "Dark Side" AKA administrative nursing..... Let's just say it's been a hell of an experience, BUT I love change and a challenge and boy has it been a challenge.....
