Felicia's Story
Which teacher would I love most to see again (at Roosevelt High)... that would have to be Ms. Hester, boy could she do the slpits in a minute.... She caught me everytime I missed class!!! She was too good!! I have never forgotten her. She often told me, after calling my house to speak with my mother on my absence from her class...that she WOULD see me tomorrow...must not have done a very good job of sounding like my mother I guess and I would say yes ma'am!!
After leaving St.Louis, my family moved to a very small town of less than 300 people at the time... quite a change from a huge Roosevelt HS to a school that had K thru 12 in one school and everyone was related somehow to someone. Although that little town has grown so much. I recently returned to South St. Louis for my grandmother's funeral after not being in my neighborhood since 1982, I lived on Minnesota Street ... three or four blocks off of Gravois(I think).
I then went to Roosevelt HS as well as Grant Middle school, seems that I don't remember Grant as much as I did Roosevelt....I do think that it is still very impressive.
I have to say that I have been very blessed...Expand for more
with 3 children...and I am sure that more than once a phone call was placed to my home for the very same reason :-)
All three of my children were blessed with an incredible amount of athletic ability.
Kyle played football, baseball, basketball, and track all four years of HS.
Kelsey cheered, played basketball, volleyball, ran track, and played fastpitch softball as well as being a team member of a traveling fastpitch team that won 3 National Championships. Now in college pursuing here Radiology Degree!!
Kevin was my 6 sport athlete... Football, Baseball, Basketball, Track & Field, Golf, Power Lifting. He is now pursuing the experience of college in Austin, Longhorn Style.....Hook Em' Horns.
I have to thank them for ALL the memories they have given me for they are the reason for my love of life & existance.....
I still live in Texas, about 45 minutes north of Dallas. We have about 10 acres in Sanger. Now that all of my children have graduated and pursuing their dreams, I am not needed AS much (unless it has to do with $$$), I enjoy my horse and me time :-) I love to travel and plan on more of it soon.
