seen just about everything. From volcano eruptions, to floods, to an U-2 spy plane destroying my newspaper building, to interviewing Paul Newman, James Michner Arnold Schwarzenegger and the local dog catcher. It has been a heck of a life.
I now treasure the time with the three grandkids, who make me realize every day how lucky I am.
My wife and I meet interesting people on the competition chili circuit and I love to tell my story about the 1960 Austin-Healey Sprite I drive, that my 9-year-old grandson says is his "Zoom-Zoom Car."
My brother lives half the year on Lake Washington in Seattle and the other half overlooking the bay in Nice, France.".
