Ferdinand's Story
Ferdinand (Red) has been married to the same woman for 51 consecutive years as of 6/24/2018.
He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 untl 1966.
His schools include Bismarck High School. class of 1958; he earned a BA in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Education degree from Northern Arizona University.
He worked at H&R Block, Tucson Police Department, Pima County Sheriff's Department, Pepa's Pizza Parlors.
He retired in 1997 after 22 years with the Tucson Police Dept..
During his police career he served as patrolman, detective, Patrol Sergeant, Communications Supervisor, Recruiting Sergeant, and Detective Supervisor. His favorite assignment was that of Patrol Sergeant.

retiring from TPD he formed Sam Hughes Investigations, which he owned and operated from 1999 until 2009.
Movies Ferdinand likes include Inception, Schindler's List, Castaway and many, many others. TV shows he likes include Monk, The Closer, Downton Abbey, Midsomer Murders, Quantum Leap, The West Wing, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and several other Brit, Aussie and Kiwi series. Almost all of his TV viewing is done via streaming.
Red and his wife, Sue, live in an historic neighborhood in Tucson, AZ, known as the Sam Hughes Neighborhood, which is near the old downtown area. They enjoy traveling, gardening and Red loves cooking. Until they both had to have several vertebrae fused, they loved Alpine skiing and miss it a lot.
