Florence's Story

Life I AM DIVORCED I HAVE FOUR BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN THREE BOYS AND A GIRL , Shawn Jr 32, Heather 31, Brandon 29 and Stephen28. I have been divorced now since Oct. 1986, enjoying myself with my kids and my grand children I guess my hands will be full once more..what are Grandmas For??? lol My oldest (Shawn) does landscaping, my daughter(Heather) does data entry, son Brandon works in demolition and masonary, and son Stephen , my youngest...works in food service running his own business today. I do data entry and accounting so you see..my hands are full....but i like keeping myself busy as it keeps my head on straight. School My biggest Crush was Bob Pagnotti, the teacher who inspired me the most was Mr. Curcio, yes i would do it all over again my funniest memories at school were the days where we would fix each others hair and i just so happen to dye someones hair and i shocked myself that i did it right...while others turned hair green...or would fall out. My happiest memory was when Bob Pagnotti smiled at me and talked to me for the first time...i still remember that day...and since then i have seen him once at a nearby shopping store near our home town and he never knew who i was.. The craziest memory was when Cheryl Gilman and a few of us girls went skating one weekend...she drove like a nut!!! well over this hill we went almost into a pole...well my life flashed before me...needless to say when she asked me to go anywhere...after that...i would if it was only the two of us...as others distracted her...or it could have been the loud music...another crazy moment was riding home on the school bus and everyone ripped paper out of their notebooks to rip up and throw out the bus windows...now that was crazy. The fact that i waited for Bob to ask me to the prom...never happened for me...another asked me but i refused due to i have only known to be a one man woman...and i still am. :) College I continued on to star technical institute for two years...majoring in computers...however i had a family to support and never completed ...after the kids where in school full time...i worked as a secretary in an elementary school. Workplace I am a data entry clerk and i still am a full time mom and Grandmom, i enjoy dancing in the warm summer rain and making those snow angels in the snow..hey..im a grandma..im not dead and besides keeps me in shape for those days when someday i will find what my heart de...Expand for more
sires..lol im a down to earth woman..i enjoy the little things in life and it dont take much to please me...i am just me after all thats all i can be...but above all im honest no matter what the cost.. Military I have never been in the service but my younger brother is in the Navy and married his Generals Daughter!!! they are happy and have a daughter of their own now...I do come from a large family where my grandparents , aunts and uncles and brother all have served in one of the branches...Marines, Navy, Army, Coast Guards & National Guards. I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they just never knew it would be to my own kids and grandkids. I go to the beach to blow off steam..it relaxed me then and still does If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have peaceful, moments, and solitude to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero is my mom...her strength is beyond any...She is who made me stronger than what I use to be. She is my rock. I look back and now understand why I am so greatful today. She was a Mother, a friend and my inspiration then and now.. The one person from my past who I'd most likely want to see again is Bob Pegnotti, because I'd like to see how his life turned out and how hes grown. My obsession is in writing past and present feelings of myself and of others If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my room and add on a jacuzzi. My dream home would be on the beach. I've learned that love is unconditional and its never ending If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to cure cancer, then spend the rest on my kids, my grandkids and my happiness. My current age is 52. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be settled into their own lives and happy. I was somewhat right. I was a court clerk and believe in justice and the saying that the truth shall set you free is the truth. My best friend would tell you I'm still shy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as very conservative. Im a jeans and heels lady I share my home with no one now, which I find very peaceful and yet lonely at times. In 10 years, I hope to be an accountant. I'm going to get there someday. My first job was at an elementary school, where I got paid good money to do data entry and secreterial work. What I remember most about it is sharing in kids lives that made a difference.
