Forestine's Story
I retired on 9/30/2010. Prior to that I was the Director of a non-profit agency in Chattanooga. Never moved away. I have two children, a daughter 35 and son 32. My daughter completed her Masters in counseling psychology in May 2010. She has not yet followed through on the Doctorate. She did get married and has celebrated her first anniversary. My son is a certified master plumber. I don't have any grandchildren although that would be a joy. I've been married to my second husband for over 14 years (will be 15 in January of next year) and they've been great years! After my first marriage dissolved I attended law school. I worked full time, continued to raise my children and commuted ...Expand for more
to Nashville to night law school. It proved to be a daunting undertaking and I didn't complete that pursuit. Since my retirement I've completed a 3 year appointment to the Chattanooga Beer and Wrecker Board. I enjoyed that service to my community and city at large. I also spent a little over a year working on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and now I am working in the congressional campaign of Dr. Mary Headrick who is the democratic candidate for the 3rd congressional district. I also do prison ministry twice a month at CCA Silverdale sharing the love of God with the women of Alpha 5 lockdown. I count it a blessing and a joy to be of service in this manner. (9/29/14)
