Fran's Story
Life
Attended Hill Top Kindergarden 38-39. Cleveland Ele. School 39-47. Stivers High School 47-51. Worked a year at the Telephone Company and took classes at Sinclair when it was at the Y.M.C.A. Attended Bowling Green State U. 52-56 graduating with a degree in Education. Received a M.Ed. from Miami U. Taught in the Dayton School System for 31 years, teaching Physical Education and retiring in 87. While teaching I coached volleyball, softb...Expand for more
all, gymnastics and fencing. Upon retiring I officiated volleyball for many years.
I now volunteer three days a week. I am on it's Board of directors as well as day chairman one day a week, plus other duties.
I was recently given the position of President of the Stivers Alumni Association. I encourage any alumni living in the Dayton area to become active in the association.
Kathleen died of her third type of cancer on November 7, 2007.
