Frances's Story
Life
After living in California, Denver and Salida, I made my way over to the Western Slope and have lived in Fruita for 27 years. I like it here, it is beautiful and quiet. I have three grown daughters, one grandson and two step-great grandchildren. It took me awhile, but I did get a bachelor degree in 1997. I am a freelance computer draftsman and work out of my home. I am divorced and have a few dogs and cats. I am a foster home for a local Humane Society and take in homeless dogs and cats until homes can be found for them. I find that very gratifying. I still have family in the Denver area and get over there regularly to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I am looking forward to hearing from old freinds.

Better late than never. I tried to make the best of the time that I spent at school. I'm not sure that I am using my education in the best possible way. I wish that I had more time and a place devoted to painting.
Workplace
I have been providing drafting services for architects for the better part of the last 35 years. The computer and email have made it possible for me to work out of my house for the last 7 years and I love not having to get to work at 8:00 and more or less being my own boss. I take a lot of pride in my work and hope that everyone that I work for appreciates what I can do. I do a little home design for freinds, but not much. I really like working with architects and have been in the area for over 25 years.
