Franchesca's Story
Hello, Kids. I've been requested to tell my story. Well, I'll try to make this a shorten, condensed version.
After graduating in the spring of '77, I did what many of us did. I went to work. A series of small jobs, then I moved up to the big time and begun working at at bank. Merchants National to be exact. I worked there for 6+ years, moved to Fairlawn Plaza Bank, then went to work at Payless ShoeSource, World Wide. I was there from March of 1986, until 11.22.08, when my postion was eleminated. That was not something I was expecting, to say the least. During my years at PSS, I got married, and divorced. My job lasted almost years longer than my marriage. I was unable to have children, so I only had to worry about myself. I will not say anything negative about...Expand for more
my former husband. As far as divorvces go, it was as plesant as those things can be.
So after losing my job, one of my closest friends that used to work at PSS asked me if I wanted to move to Frisco, TX to be his room mate. So, after much thinking, I made the move in February. Living in Texas has been fun, and certainly a bit of a cultire shock as Topeka is pretty tame for the most part. I finally begun working last week. Whoo-Hoo! Happy Dance!!!!! So now I'm here in Texas, meeting new people now and again, and having fun with the friends I've made thru my room mate. All in all, life is good. I wish I had someone special to spend time with, and hopefully I'll met someone soon. But, every day I wake up is a great day. Life is good. When all else fails; DANCE!!!!
