Francine's Story
Life
After living in Barrington and raising my two children there,I sold my house and noved to Bristol. It was to be for one year only, as Skip and I were heading to Florida to live our dream of early retirement. Life doesn't always work the way we plan. Skip was diganosed with cancer stage 4 in October 08, and was given 18 - 24 months or if we were really lucky up to 5 years. We both decided it woudl be 5 years and never accepted less. 19 months later he was gone. So here I am almost 7 months later wondering what the hell happened. I stayed on at my job but moved once again. I am now in East Providence in a small apartment.

Oh a happier side my daughter is living in Dallas Texas with a great career, so all that money we paid for college is well spent. My son is a freshman at RIC, he was going to university of Tampa but when Skip died he decided to stay here in RI for at least a year to help him mom, I raised two great kids. I am very close to SKip youngest Daughter, and she has made us grandparents of a very active almost 2 year old boy who will be delighted as "nana" is about him having a sister that is due in March. I will go to Seattle for about 3 weeks to help when the new baby arrives.
I still work for the State OF Mass, I am the Director of Public Housing in Seekonk and Swansea Ma. I have held this job for the past 15 years. I am very active in affordable housing in Mass.
My plan to move to FLorida is still in place, but I'm not sure when. After the snow storm we jsut had the day after Christmas it looks like sooner than later. So thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
