Francine's Story
After graduation, my husband Tom & I had 3 kids, moved from Bristol to Vermont. It is absolutely beautiful there however, once graduated from UVM in Nursing, I was unable to secure a position... time to go home. Held staff positions, home care in both Hospice & therapeutic care, teaching, Director of Nursing, and finally medical underwriter for a local insurance company. NOW, I am a retired RN, enjoying all the extra time I have for my 5 grandchildren. Extra time is also used by planning this 40th (42nd) class reunion with Dan Brady, Lynne Ladue, Deb O'Leary Kingsbury, Lich Lopa if anyone else wants to join... everybody is welcome! My husband, Tom, is my "hero". He's been through so much in his life, grew up in "the Terrace", but was shot by our crazy neighbor our in the burbs. Thankfully, the shot missed any vital organs.... but he is a survivor! We met right after graduation, on a blind date with Sally Garzelloni's family, and haven't been apart since.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Irene & Patty, because we were insane together!!!!.
In 10 years, I hope to be in a warmer climate. I'm going to get there by driving, walking or crawling! Whatever it takes, I will be out of this COLD climate.
