Life
Married, Just celebrated my 35th wedding anniversary this past Thanksgiving. Opened a business in good ole Hobbs, America. It is called "just 'FRIENDS'" It is a Post Office, Coffee Shop (not a Starbucks) just a quaint little coffee shop. Also have a few newspapers and magazines. Come by and check us out. Coffee on me. My youngest son,James, is my partner in this business. I have 2 older boys, they live in Texas. I also have 5 granddaughters ranging from ages 8 to 22. I still have the best girlfriends in the world, Lorene, Janice, Gussie, and Linda. Together we are conquering life. We are still very close after all these years. They are my Sisters. My husband, Kenneth, is an oilfield consultant, and still enjoys working every day. and probably always will. And he is my best friend. Not sure what else to say except between the business and Gussie I stay pretty busy. If I get a break, Gussie fills it w/som...Expand for more
ething for us to do. Never thought I'd be back in Hobbs, but here I am. Making the best of it. I've lived in several states and several towns, they are basically the same, cept Hobbs is kinda special, no matter what anyone thinks. Hope to see ya'll soon at the reunion. Ok it has been 2 years since I wrote this. Just celebrated another anniversary and about to acquire a new business. It is called "BACK PORCH ANTIQUES". I will become new owner January 1. Am looking forward to that new venture. Hope all that reads this comes and checks us out. Even if you don't live here, if you happen to come to Hobbs for a visit or whatever, Come by Just Friends and/or Back Porch and see us. It's all on Broadway. All of us merchants and the city are trying our best to revitalize the downtown area and make it better that it ever was. So come on down to Broadway for some good coffee and shopping and of course Wonderful Memories.
