Francine's Story

Life Life is good here in Orange County. My daughter is 27 and works part time while attending college. I adopted her when she was 15 months old and she's grown into a wonderful, young adult. I am very proud of her. I have been an elementary school teacher since graduating from College Park in 1977 - currently teaching 4th grade in southern California, which has been "home" since 1983. I was married to a career Marine Corps Officer for 25 years, been single for 15 years. I have a Welsh Corgi, a German Shepherd, two Gold...Expand for more
en Retrievers, an Aussie, 2 Maltese and a Bichon Havanese. Five of them are rescues. They keep life from being dull. I live near Anaheim and support the Angels, Ducks, and Lakers. Except for the earthquakes, fires, drought and heat, I love it here. My aren’t passed away but lived long and healthy lives. I don't get back to the Bethesda area as much as I would like to but keep in touch with my best friends from WJ, Beryl Horn-Hosack and Paul Shapiro. Through the magic of Facebook - ha ha - I keep in touch with many more.

When you have 8 dogs, the Christmas tree gets set up in the guest bedroom so the ornaments aren’t mistaken for chew toys! Love my pack, just don’t trust them!
Wonderful Christmas! When you have 8 dogs, the tree goes up in the front guest bedroom. Love my pack.... just don’t trust them... better safe than sorry!
Our annual Nutcracker Ballet today. Here’s my former students and honorary grand babies! Along with my friend and go-worker, Maryanne. Great performance, as usual. And my girls are growing up too quickly!
