Fran's Story
Life
I married John Rice in 1993 and we were divorced in 1998. Afterwards, I moved to the east coast and lived in new England for a year and half with a female roommate.
During that time I met a mutual friend, Stephen "Fox" Johnson. We had a long distance relationship until I secured a job at his company in Florida and moved to Jacksonville to live with him.
We have been together for four years now and were married in November of 2000. Fox works as a computer programmer and database administrator for a Fortune 500 company and I am a proud homemaker. We just bought a house on five acres and are in the process of adopting a sibling group through the state of Florida.
In my spare time, I am a freelance writer. I've had several articles, short stories, and poems published in pagan oriented magazines and e-zines and I help maintain a pagan oriented educational and news sit.
I have a service dog (an American Eskimo named Freyja)...Expand for more
who is my dearest companion and four cats to keep me company as well as an assortment of fish and gerbils.
My husband and I like taking pictures of unique architecture and historical sites as well as taking day trips to the beach or other places that are off the beaten path.
College
Three terms at Mesa College, withdrew due to a medical condition in spring semester of 1990. Attended Fort Lewis College in Durango from 1994 through September of 1996. I did not receive placement for student teaching as the college could not find an assigment within my limited ability to travel. I am going back to school this fall and will probably major in either sociology where I will train to be a social worker or psychology where I will train to be an interpersonal psychologist. You couldn't pay me enough (literally!) to teach in the Florida public school system and my religious preferences would not be conducive to a private school placement.
