Francis's Story
Horses.
Well, you might be wondering if I'm just wearing the hat and boots to look the part, well, I do ride now. I have a Ford F-250 longbed and a two-horse trailer. Don't drive it much these days, it only gets about 10 mpg with a 7.5 liter (460) engine.
I started competing in gymkhana (timed events) last year and I've done so well, I moved up from FC Horse (Future Champion) to A Horse.
I ride My Ya, a blind quarter horse. She is really responsive, and people are surprised that she does so well for being a blind horse.
Band.
Still playing! Although this year I wasn't in the Marching Aztecs of San Diego State University, I still play in the Pep Band for the Men's ...Expand for more
basketball team. We are considered the best pep band on the West Coast, as we play a more popular type of music, like Tower of Power, Avril Lavigne, and even Outkast.
Life.
Well, with the economy as it is, and gas the price it is, I sure feel the pinch. I work in a sales position, and everyone is trying to make the most out of what they make.
Sometimes I get bummed out, but at least I am optimistic things can get better.
I think about old friends, and hope everything is going well. I miss the good parts of the old days, and I hope that someday I can meet old friends I haven't seen or heard from in years.
Family.
Myself, married before, but I never had any children.
