Francis's Story

Life Coming up on 30 years since graduation. Our two eldest children are out of the house and doing good, our youngest sons girlfriend and our daughter are both expecting children in February, which will make us first time grandparents (bummer, I'm not ready, but I'll adjust). While my jobs have been varied, my last "career" lasted over 20 years. We finally had it with the "rat race" and went to Northeast Oregon for some piece and quiet, and for the most part got it. I now drive a school bus, part time, and run a business that is a carryover of my fathers business of almost 50 years. I wish that he could have seen it as he helped pick out the location. Unfortunately he passed away 11/19/2006, just ten days after his 73 birthday. I believe that he would be proud, and I will do my best to carry on his reputation, and though I don't have expectations of my children following in "our" footsteps, I'll be there if they choose to. I guess I should add that I take sports images for the local newspaper, but try to keep photography mostly a hobby, though I might do an occasional "shoot" for a customer. I have no lack of projects or hobbies (woodworking, classic autos, etc.). My collection of models is getting a tad bit out of hand. Life is simple for me. Money no longer means what it used to, and "life" means everything. Kris has decided to join me in the business and I feel that she adds a lot and I feel will fit in just fine. Her personality will shine with customers and make up for my gruff exterior. I hope that there will be a 30th reunion as it would be interesting to see what changes others have gone through, and I'm not talking appearances as I have nothing to brag about. Kris and...Expand for more
I have been with each other 26 years now, 22 of them married. We've seen our share of challenges, been through 3 separations, the last almost ending in divorce. We both had to make some adjustments and rediscover what brought us together in the first place, as that is what a couple tends to lose when living "life". Family, careers, children, all have a way of impacting a relationship. Learning to accept things, making adjustments and going back to being the people you once were can be a struggle. But when a couple can pull it off it's amazing what a relationship can be like, kind of the same but different, almost new in a sense. Anyway, life hasn't been perfect. I think the old lady in the movie "Parenthood" put it best when she compared life to riding a merry-go-round or a rollercoaster. You'll have to watch it if you want to find out what I mean. Take care and thanks for visiting my bio. Oh, is your life the merry-go-round or the rollercoaster? And would you have changed it? Later Francis School Having attened 2 Jr. HS and 4 HS, I learned to make friends quick. Unfortunately keeping friends was something of a challenge when your around for only one school year, but I got by. I made the best of it I could in the short time I had, so played sports, attended functions and especially went to dances. Best way I knew how to unwind and have fun and dance with girls I knew I would not see the following year. Too bad to, met many I really liked. Did rather poorly my first three years, but someone special helped me turn that around my last year. Accept for my last year of HS, I was a rather low key person. Nobody really reads this anyway, right? Guess we'll see. Later
