Francis's Story
First Graduating Class '65 retired teacher-Newington- lost contact with most SCHS people The school never should have closed. Hartford needs a Catholic HS as much if not more than Manchester and West Hartford. Loved teaching, kids are great. Mr. Joe Riley was a co-worker of mine for a few years in Newington. He told me to call him Joe, not Mr. Riley. My response was that it was difficult enough dropping the "sir"suffix and ...Expand for more
that it would be impossible for me to ever call him anything but Mr. Riley. Today, I think about the SCHS students that were expelledin our senior year for their actions at a party. As an adult and a retired educator, this was wrong and to me you all are members of the class of '65. I don't find the decision of expulsion very Christ like.
