Frank's Story
Life
If the city has a pulse IÂd like to set my life to its rhythm. I currently live in San Francisco but have lived in Los Angeles, London, and New York. If you know me at all you know that IÂve always had a spirit too rebellious for my own good and too big to stay in one place. Art is my life and IÂd like to think that my life is art. I would like to think everyoneÂs life is art on some level.
IÂm proud of my accomplishments, proud of those IÂve loved and those IÂve lost. So much has happened in my life up until I got this surprise itch to actually answer the junk mail from Classmates.com that clogs up my inbox. I found myself wondering how my high school girlfriend Beth is doing now. Or any number of cool people IÂve grown up with. IÂve probably been wondering about you.
So if you have the itch like me, scratch it and drop me an e-mail.
Oh yah, does anyone have a year book and a scanner? I don't have any photos of me in High School to post up here. (I'm pretty sure I look pretty different)
College
I graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City where I worked under the nurturing non-commitment of the institutional avant-garde (which means most instructors expect you t...Expand for more
o teach yourself in fear of stifling your creativityÂ
ÂIf I show you how to do it you wouldnÂt have those happy accidents and sublime moments of discovery.Â).
I also attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine arts where I studied oil painting, etching and sculpture. This was an amazing experience. Due to the schools affiliation with the local museums I was allowed to hold Picasso drawings in my hand and view student works of Maxfield Parish, Mary Cassatte, and Thomas Eakins. This was also a place where traditional techniques were taught and respect for serious art study was championed. I found myself begging to be stifled by tradition so I could absorb all of the techniques I could.
Workplace
For years I found myself working on Wall Street to pay off crushing student loans and keep myself afloat in the insanely expensive New York City. I worked at various positions from lowly temp, to Operations Manager to Financial Advisor. The most valuable lesson I learned was that if you read a canned response to a question in a believable way it was understood that you were Âreally smartÂ. Luckily I also learned many valuable skills that led me to my current life in Porn.
