Frank's Story

My schools include J.E.B. Stuart High School. I later attended Auburn University (Married Jean Crump, Stuart '67) with a B.S. in Business Administration, then the American University with an MBA in 1972. Built and ran a chain of convenience stores in Nashville, TN., tried my hand at banking for awhile, then worked at Ingram Barge Company (largest inland carrier in the US). Thought I always wanted to be a suit executive and when I got there...HATED IT! No offense, but I felt like I was in HS again. Never really knew who had your back and who was stabbin' you in it when you least expected it. In 1999 my wife sold everything we had. Our home, a new Corvette with 3600 miles on it, all of our stocks, bonds, 401Ks, stock options, and bought a real estate company with an office across the street from the Gulf of Mexico ...Expand for more
in Englewood, FL . Our youngest son graduated from Auburn and immediately joined us. We now have three satellite offices and over 500 rentals. Mostly vacation rentals but some commercial and annuals as well. We also specialize in selling beach homes and condos, which can be a real challenge. The whole fam damily is working here now. Both sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law; pre-school youngin's (grand children) are here a lot too. Retired from day to day business activity in 2020. Living my dream in paradise. Seriously. One of my favorite quotes is: "People got a lot of knives and forks...they gotta eat somethin'" Bob Dylan, Hwy 66 Revisited. "If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got." And last, but not least, the infamous "lead, follow, or get the hell out of my way."".

I got RED TAGGED before we even started the remodel! Sarasota County has this rule, I learned, that you can't start demo before the building permit is approved which takes 6 weeks. Dummas me started tearing the house apar
This is the view ouf our kitchen! See the post that they installed? Once (if?!!) the remodel is ever finished it would be right in the middle of the kitchen and, even worse, right in the middle of the kitchen counter (not

PORTLAND, Ore. — An Oregon man who went to a hospital complaining of a headache was found to have 12 nails embedded in his skull from a suicide attempt with a nail gun, doctors say.
Surgeons removed the nails with needle-no
Five foot rattler captured four doors down from my son's house here in Englewood. He has a two pre-schoolers but they were all on vacation.
Seriously. And don't tell me that "I'm sure the hotel has a TV somewhere".
