Frank's Story
Year after graduation I decided to join the Navy. First duty station was Nas Coronado in San Diego. I was with the aviation side of the navy. Worked on jets. After 6 years there and 2 cruises on board uss kitty hawk and America I was transferred to Florida,Pensacola area. Worked on helicopters for 3 years. Then it was time to go back to the west coast. Too hot and humid there for me. But definitely had a good time there. Next was was Nas Whidbey island wa. It's 2 hours north of Seattle. Small town,have to either take a ferry or drive over deception pass bridge to get to the mainland. I love it. This was late 82 when I got here. Been here since. out the hard times. Made a total of 7 crusies..saw the world a couple of times. I stayed with the aircraft business.. one of the love of my life. Been married for 38 years. Have a son who lives in Florida. St.pete. I've been motorcycle guy all my adult life. All kinds. 3 harleys hand full of dirt bikes. Down to just my low rider now. After 17 years working on boeing jets and the magic age of 66 came around it was time to retire. Think it was the commute that helped me with the decision. Life has been good. I have stayed in touch with linda paisley all these years. To those that remember her. She is good.
