Frank's Story
Got a degree in Computer Science in '71 from UC Irvine after attending UCLA, El Camino JC, UT El Paso, and three years in the army at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX.
Worked at Burroughs (now Unisys), Xerox PARC, Apple, Sun Microsystems, WebMD, and back to Sun (now Oracle). Worked first as a programmer and later as a user interface designer. My most memorable project was working on the Apple Lisa, the father of the Mac. When my kids asked me what I did at work I told them I was the one who put the white outline around the black mouse pointer. reas of the screen.
Moved to the Palo Alto, CA in '77 when I joined Xerox where I met my future wife a couple of years later, a beautiful woman from Hawaii, and had two kids, a boy and a girl, soon after.
Got the kids through college, one with two bachelors and the other a PhD. Both are married, one living in Hawaii and the other in Georgia. My son has two boys and my daughter a girl and a boy. My wife is a great mom and grandmother. I'm a happy dad and grandfather.
Enjoy wine tasting, sailing, photography, convertibles, and the California coast.
Finally retired at the start of 2012 and enjoying the good life.
