Frank's Story

Since barely graduating from good ole RHS, I spent some time at college, a stint in the Air Force stationed in France, more college, a year at Stroh Brewery in the quality department (still have some of the weight gain from that!)several years at Chrysler in the warranty department, last stint at Walsh College, and finally planning on retirement since joining the family business in 1973. I married a great women in 1969 (formerly Annie Brown of Royal Oak), and value every moment we have together. We decided early on to avoid the rigors of child rearing to devote all our resources to ourselves. While its been fun, we have also enjoyed watching our friends and relatives children grow to adulthood. Annie and I have lived in various communities in Michigan, and presently reside in Lexington, Michigan. We purchased the Lexington property on Lake Huron in 1998 and built our present residence there in August 2002. We both finally retired in 2005 and now enjoy our home on the lake and traveling in the winter in our Class A motorhome. Ann and I enjoy home theater and traveling, along with golf and anything else outdoors. All in all, my life has been pretty interesting since High School and while I don't miss some of the classes, I do miss the classm...Expand for more
ates. Hopefully, this site can be a vehicle for increased participation in our class reunions. College I attended Ferris State University after High school graduation for a couple years in the early 60's, and again in 1971, finishing up at Walsh College in Troy, Michigan shortly thereafter. My educational life at FSU was mixed between little studying and mostly playing. This drove me to join the United States Air force and if I had to do it over again, I might have reversed these experiences! Military I joined the US Air Force in the early 60's after graduating High School and a couple college years, as a means to acquire much needed discipline and to experience new adventures. After Basic and Tech school I was assigned a station in Chambley, France which at that time was on a Dispersed Operating Basis (no U.S. planes) where I worked a straight 40 hours/week as supply clerk for the joint AF/Army mess hall. Then a brief stint in the Quartermaster Corp which also provided me the opportunity to travel weekly to the Toule-Rosiers airbase. This experience gave me many wonderful opportunities to meet many good people both on and off base (the off base people are another story), and I am proud to have served my country during the tumultuous 60's.
