Frank's Story

Life If I knew then what I know now, I would have dated a lot more often. (So, I was shy when I was younger. Well, we've all had our crosses to bear, haven't we). I'm Frank Ramos, the greatest bench warmer Rincon's football team has ever known! I just recently bought this computer to help me with my business (Reflexology: yes, therapeutic foot massage, which probably comes as no surprise to a few of you). I was in the US Navy for a few years; a nightclub DJ at Boomers Nightclub; and a few jobs that just got me from point A to point Z. I found and lost love a few times... I really liked a lot of Rincon girls, but I never told them about it. S.N. and L.F., are you listening? I'm looking to buy a condo with my hard earned savings. Almost lost my Dad to prostate cancer and a bad heart, within the span of four months last year, but thanks to a great surgeon, he's doing great, as is my Mom. I was pulled over by an Oro Valley cop and held at gunpoint simply because I looked like a hippy at the time. Anyone from Oro Valley knows what kind of reputation those guys have. I also sang, or caterwauled, with three other dudes, performing doo-wop music. The leader of the group came up with our extremely clever name: Desert Doo Wop. (I'm being sarcastic). So, here it is, just a day away from the New Year 2005, or six months after, depending on when I update this thing. I've got no real regrets except for not speaking up when I should have at times... to tell the girl I liked how I felt... to tell my friends how much they mean to me before the Grim Reaper took them away... yeah, life goes on, Obla-Di Obla-Da. Yes, The Beatles are still my favorite group, too! I hope to hear from those who remember me. School I'll make this short but sweet so your peepers won't pop: Roberts Elementary: 1972-1974 (I was the new kid. Got treated accordingly, too, if you know what I mean) Naylor Jr. High: 1974-1976 ( my love for music really began increasing at this point) Rincon High Schoo...Expand for more
l: 1976-1980 (Romance evaded me while zits invaded me) US Navy Schools & Training: at various times between 1981-1984 Pima Community College: 1985-1992 (I only took classes I enjoyed, therefore I never graduated) Advanced Healing Arts: 1998 (Reflexology) College As I previously stated in my School Biography, I attended Pima Community College from 1985-1982 simply to take classes I would enjoy. So, I never earned a degree, but maybe someday... Workplace All of my previous employment (including the Navy) has lead me to where I am today. I was always trying to find work that I would enjoy doing, regardless of the pay. I was a nightclub D.J. for a couple of years, but all the smoke and loud music began to take its toll on me... as well as some of the rowdier, drunker patrons. I currently own and operate my own Reflexology business. I massage feet for a living. So, there you have it. If I knew then what I know now, I probably would have had a lot more friends in high school. Everyone loves a foot massage... almost everyone. (I've met a few who'd rather drink battery acid). Military I joined the Navy to get out of Tucson, AZ, which I have since grown to love, by the way. 1981-1984 were some of the toughest yet best years of my life. Despite the hard work, I grew extremely fond of my supervisors, fellow Shrikes, and those who became close friends. I'm sometimes afraid to look up old friends because they may have passed away, but I miss a lot of them. I'll never forget the first cigarette I tried... I ran out of the office to the head and tossed my cookies... never smoked again. (Well, once at a pizza place in Australia, with pretty much the same results). Petty Officer Huggins, you helped me kick the habit before it began. (He gave me the smokes in the first place). Honestly, I couldn't wait to become a civilian again. I just wasn't cut out for the service. But all of the ex-members of VA-94, '82-'84, I'll never forget you and I salute you all.
