Actually, after "seeing the world" in the Navy, I decided nothing beats the central coast area. I didn't stray far in all these years. I currently live in Carmel Valley with my wife Cynthia. We have four dogs, two parrots, a cat, and two bee hives with about 100,000 bees. We enjoy giving the honey to friends and family as gifts after the autumn harvest. As a musician, I couldn't decide what direction I wanted to go in music and eventually gave up performing, now spending my time listening primarily to classical, the genre I was trained in, and jazz, the genre that helped pay my way through college. I recently returned to composing music for string quartets, small chamber ensembles and piano after a decade of inactivity in composition. My composing efforts are strictly for my own enjoyment. I have two children from a previous marriage. My son Frank III has a Ph.D in Chemistry and is a Professor of Chemistry at California State University Monterey Bay and also as adjunct faculty at MPC.
