Frank's Story
Life
Dr. Valente graduated from Texas Chiropractic College, Pasadena, Texas, with special focuses on rehabilitation, radiology and Chiropractic management of muscular and myofascial disorders. He is also certified in acupuncture and trained in concussion grading and atheletic taping. Dr. Valente's postgraduate education includes studies in kinesotape treatment methodology (KT1, KT2) and studies of shoulder and elbow disorders in athletes from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, New York.
Dr. Valente has obtained the postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSPÂ). This certification is specific to physical fitness and the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. This training aids the doctor in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing diagnostic skills and patient care. The CCSP accreditation exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a level of competency in chiropractic sports medicine. Dr. Valente joins over 4000 others internationally who hold this designation.
Dr. Valente is a member of the United States Sports Chiropractic Federation.

His academic expertise in sports related injuries lead Dr. Valente to a Rehabilitation Practitioner position at the Baseball Sports Medicine Institute where he treated Major and Minor League athletes followed by five years as the Team Doctor for Nike's Pro-Am Basketball Gold's gym team. Dr. Valente has covered the Brooklyn AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour in 2006 & 2007. Dr. Valente is also knowledgeable in the pharmacology field where he spent four years as a Level II Pharmacy Technician.
Dr. Valente was the Managing Chiropractor at Boardway Orthopedic Sports Specilists for 6 years where he shared his expertise with Orthopedic Surgeons, Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, & Personal Trainers from Gold's Gym NYC. He was invited to train specific high profile clients of Gold's Gym NYC. The scope of Dr. Valente's treatments is not limited to chiropractic adjustments; in fact, the majority of his care is grounded in exercise physiology and physiotherapy with the objective of expeditiously returning his patient's safely to an active lifestyle.
