Frank's Story
Life
Been a bit of a haul, but for the most part, life has been good. Wife and 3 kids to be proud of; 8 grand kids with #9 on the way. All three kids are doing well. Brian is a computer engineer in Columbus selling, designing and building data warehousing solutions for major corporations all over the country; married, four kids. Wife is a nurse practitioner working at OSU. Ally is an OT in the Zenia working part time with two kids. Husband Jason is the Plant Manager for a fresh vegetable packing plant. Lexi is still local to me, teaching kindergarten in the Warren City School system. Two kids with one on the way. Husband Eric installs alarm systems. Everyone is doing fine. Wish I could say the same.
In the last six years, I have had four joint replacements due to arthritis; one got infected and took over a year and five operations to correct. Following that I had a bout with advanced prostate cancer. Many drugs and six rounds of chemo and I am now told I am in remission. Time will tell. Wife also having issues with tissue tears in her shoulder and just got operated on for that. Looking at a six month recovery (worst case) and we are not about two months in. More fun to come. Looking forward to taking a vacation....
2023 sucked; hoping 2024 turns the corner on that.
School
Could write a lot here, but it would all be old; all the reunions I got to were fun; we need to do that again. Curious where all my 'buds' were at some of them. Nancy E; did I really make you a therapist?

opping I guess because we've been married for 40-something (right Carol?). She'll never forgive me for taking her off the shore, but she does have to admit, the traffic is a bit less intense here in Ohio (and the 'burgh when we get back; yes I did convert her).
Workplace
Sore spot here; set up a lifetime career with a small steel company (Copperweld, CSC, in Warren, OH; IE, Payroll Mgr, Labor Relations Superintendent and Systems Engineering/Design) that didn't quite make it to the end of my working lifetime. 26.5 yrs to the day and all I have to show for it was a lot of great memories and a DV pension thru the PBGC. Sour grapes, I know; missed the pension/working double dip scenario by 3.5 years which, in reality, is like starting over. Then I went back to Payroll Mgr for a regional trucking outfit (Falcon Transport, Youngstown, OH). They eventually went bankrupt also. 17.5 years of sweat there with practically nothing to show for it except that it kept me out of bankruptcy. End result is two forced retirements and never getting a retirement dinner. Oh, well. At least I did a good job setting up my retirement. Retired now and enjoying life.
Military
Not much here unless you count 2 yrs ROTC in college (my draft number was 26 until they killed that). Fond memories of getting to play a little more trombone while I did that, arguing about the length of my hair and spending weekends getting 'shot' at during war games with the NJ National Guard (they almost s--t when we commandered a 'Rat Patrol' jeep with a 50 cal on the back). Ah, those were the days....
