really..................i am smiling as much as this dog, underneath my facemask.
oh, i have "lay'd" many accordions, in the last 60 years, and still have not made it to prison.  i think my costumes scare the authorities.....

so, this morning....... really early this morning, i performed in front of the Santa Cruz Wharf, for the Santa Cruz Triathlon, for about an hour.  always fun.

the LIMA family, back in 1948........i'm the one in front of my father.  i think i look like HOWDY DOODY!!!!.
here is another photo of my grandmother.  i think i get a lot of my creative energy from her.  she loved to do elaborate dress up, for halloween, and then come to our house trick or treating, and we never knew it was her.
Here is an oldie....... my maternal grandfather, and my great grand parents.   this was taken in 1915.   my grandfather is of course, the arrogant dude, standing in the middle.  he was 21 years of age in this photo.  his pa
Now...... its 1929, and you can see, some of the smugness has disappeared from my grandfathers face.  he is 35 years old, my grandmother is 38, my mother in the funny dress is 8, my uncle charles is 5, and my uncle manuel,
OK....... and now for the LIMA side of the family....... this photo is of my father, and his brothers, and i think it had to be around the early 1920's.  my father was born in 1902.  the brothers were all, one year apart.
AND NOW...... for my Grandparents, on my fathers side.  i'm actually named for my grandfather...."FRANCISCO LORENCO VALADAO LIMA"(coming through Ellis Island, immigration couldn't pronounce "valadao", and dropped it).   he
AND NOW....... it gets a little nuts......... in 1984, i went to the azores for 6 weeks.  i had such a good time, that when i got back home, here, i told my parents, i would take care of grandma, who lived with my parents,
