Frank's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met my wife, Sarah, in Feb 1995 and we got married in Oct 1996.
Children
We have one little baby, Millie. She is the most wonderful little baby. She just turned four and she is a hand full.
My Pets
I have a flock of Geese. We also have a mangy dog.
School
I cannot believe its been over 20 years. When I think back about school I remember the good and the bad. The bad included Mr. Power (Vice-Principal), Ms. Ikenberry (Latin Teacher), and Mrs. Golden (Advanced Math). It is bad to dime them out, but they were so bad. Mr. Dobbins gets an honorable mention. Bottom line is that Powel, Ikenberry, and Dobbins were bad; the rest were good. I am sure any faculty members reviewing this will agree. Over the years I have thought about them and the hard times I sometimes caused, but they were paid to take care of those things and deal with it. I am dealing with problems at work now and that is what I am paid to do. Fortunately, our teachers taught me well and I am able to deal with it.
Most of the rest were good. Do not want to hurt anyone's feelings by leaving them off, but do not mind hurting the feelings of the bad ones. I have many bad things to say about each if challenged on my opinion that they were bad teachers. The only other bad thing was our math...Expand for more
program was a little weak. We did get great value from our biology class - thanks Emily Holcombe. It was not much fun back then, but in college it made things all the more easy.
Military
I have been in the Army for 25 years. Ever since I left high school, but seven years of it was reserve duty. I am getting old and tired of doing the same thing, though the last few years have been interesting. At 42 years of age, I am getting tired of the physicall aspects of being a soldier. It is not the same as it was when I was 17, but I am still keeping up. However, after all this time, I think I have earned the right for some breaks. I have been to Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Bosnia, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, and Kurdistan. Recently I have been to Poland, Belgium, France, and Switzerland. I have been near bout everywhere and near bout seen it all. I am in Germany now. Believe it or not, until 2001, the furthest I had been from Virginia in the Army was Alabama, though I did have that two week trip to California. I was in Hungary on 9/11 and the pace of life has not been the same since. Despite the 25 years, you can boil my Army career down to the last 7 years. What an exciting ride. I have been through land mines, been shot at, and was knocked down by a mortar.
