Frank's Story

After graduating from Crater High in 1965, I went to George Fox College (now University) and got a BA there. Married Barbara Simpson in 1970. We have 3 daughters. Divorced in 1983. Married Sandra Rogers Ball in 1990. Now live in Bellevue, Washington. Work history: 30 years at the phone company as a computer programmer/software engineer. Retired in 2000. Worked 7 years as a medical transcriptionist at Radia Medical Imaging in Everett, WA. Retired again in 2013. We have 4 grandchildren. Planning to move back down to the Rogue Valley in 2017 or so. aking many wonderful discoveries within the U.S. We also love going on cruises. A personal accomplishment has been walking the west coast from Canada to Mexico over a period of 16 years in segments. My friend of over half a century, Joe Van Horn, and I worked out the logistics of doing that and applied many different combinations of transportation and lodging to successfully reach the goal. We next set out to do the same thing west-to-east coast-to-coast, starting at Newport, Oregon, in 2006. We ended that project in 2012/2013, but did make it as far as Jackson Hole, WY. I made it as far as Togwotee Pass, the Continental Divide, after walking through Grand Teton National Park. There might be a book come out of this some day.

As always, Hawaii in January is magical. This year it's a Roberts family reunion with my mom and sibs and spouses....9 of us.

Today we are walking on the bike trail for the second day in a row, this time from Kenmore to Bothell. My daughter Megan will walk the opposite direction from Bothell with the dogs and meet us halfway then walk back to Both
