Great day for "smoking"!! Using "Bad Byron's Butt Rub Byron E. Chism" on one and Texas BBQ Rub on the other one!
Ron and Billy; thought you might want to see this. Ron, you look good in the DoRag.
Ribs three-fourths there; just sprayed them with applejuice and about to wrap them up and put them back on the Primo. Good dinner tonight. Butt is holding at 170; 25 degrees more.
Ribs a smoking. Trying a new rub called gunpowder mixed with another rub.
Max and I completed our 30th judging event at Whistlestop this week-end. Our 1st event was in Little Rock in March 09. We've had a great year! Thanks to all our friends -both old ones and the new ones we've met on the BB

Now this is what you call a BBQ Pit. Salt Lick Restaurant outside of Austin, Texas.
Had the privilage of visiting the famous town from Walon Jennings' song --- Luckenback, Texas.
Great seeing a very special person, Ron A Harwell, at the Gurley BBQ Fundraiser!! (And, you can tell Max and Tricia were glad to see him too!!
Rib Smokin' Day!
Decided to smoke some ribs and jalapenos. Been on three hours; getting ready to wrap this now. Smelling good. Looking forward to Jack.
Just cooked a pre-Thanksgiving dinner of Rack of Porkchops. I saw them at Costco yesterday and decided to give them a try after viewing them in Southen Living magazine. I was really surprised as I had never cooked these.
