Fred Marsh:  

Left here April 1966 by a bus on my way to Montgomery for induction into the Navy. I can remember "Hey You, get off of my cloud" by the Stones playing on the small transister. I teared up and knew I would miss everything. Spent 4 exciting years in the Navy with the last three aboard the USS Kitty Hawk CVA-63. Hit many ports of call including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sasabo, Tachikawa, Hiroshima, Guam, Philippines, as well as Hawaii, Seattle and Bremerton Washington. Discharged in San Diego and moved to San Jose, CA where I went to college, raised my daughter, and worked in a Publishing Company (Silicon Valley Publications) as a Sales and Marketing Rep during the apex of the computer and software industry in the early 70's through the 80's. Loved vacations in Mazatlan, puerto vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii and of course FWB. Spent much time in San Francisco going to ball games at Candelstick, art galleries, roller skating in Golden Gate park, Sausilito...Expand for more
