Fred's Story
Life
I have had a pretty cool life. After graduation I became a professional rap artist. I recorded five 12 inch singles and produced a little kids group in the 1980's. I got to meet and work with a lot of rap legends like Ice T, Ice Cube,Dr.Dre, Eazy E just to name a few. I opened shows for a lot of different groups in the 1980's. The majority of my life I have worked in Special education primarily with handicapped students. I am a Health Care Assistant with the Los Angeles Unified School District. I work at a High school which teaches students with special needs, Widney High School in Los Angeles. It's a magical place and the staff at my job are like family. I get to use my musical talents to entertain the students and staff. We have a great music program, better than a lot of so-called "regular" sites. I get to DJay, sing, rap all the time. I often contemplate about getting back in the music industry, but my kids at work make me feel like I am a star on a never ending basis. I am a truly blessed individual.

als with special needs. I started with The Los Angeles County Office of Education, and I am currently employed with the Los Angeles Unified School District. I work at Joseph P. Widney High School which is located in South Los Angeles. It is truly a great place to work and I really don't consider it work. I am blessed to be employed in an enviroment where I can utilize my talents on a daily basis. We have a great music program. I use my talents as a former professional rap artist to perform for the staff and students. I have also developed a niche for singing which I also do. We have athletic events basketball, soccer, floor hockey, ect. where I am the school's P.A. announcer. I also DJ many school dances including annually the school prom. In between all of this fun I find time to help with the instruction of students with multiple handicaps. I am truly forunate. I am a Health Care Assistant, with ultimate aspirations of becoming a teacher someday. I have made many friends and have countless unique experiences after 20 years in the educational field. I am truly a blessed, fortunate man.
